is Duo46 and pianist Nathanael May. Established in 2002 hile on faculty at Eastern Mediterranean University on the island of Cyprus, this unique ensemble began a commissioning project that has produced over a dozen new works for Violin, Guitar and Piano trio.  SOT has performed in Turkey, Cyprus, Italy, and throughout the United States with ensemble residences at Harvard, Del Mar College, University of Florida Gainesville, and Uludag University. Their debut recording, Fables, Forms, and Fears: The Music of Paul Richards received four 2008 Grammy Contentions, and their most recent recording on Albany Records, Pseudosynthesis: The Music of Brian Hulse, garnered enthusiastic reviews in Fanfare and Classical Guitar, among others. The Trio was awarded a prestigious Barlow Commissioning Grant in 2011 to commission German composer, Michael Quell for a new microtonal work, which will be performed in Germany, the Netherlands, Italy, the United States and Canada in 2012.
